A L'Oiseau névre keresztelt madár, az archaikus egyszerűség és az északi népművészet szerény visszafogottságát jeleníti meg. Karcsú formájának látványa gazdagítja a kortárs belső tereket, az általában az állati alakzatokhoz társított ravaszság érzése nélkül.
Már a kezdetekben is a természetből rajzolt motívumok fontos szerepet játszottak a lakberendezésben. A természetes formák és alakzatok visszatérő elemei Ronan és Erwan Bouroullec munkásságának.

Motifs drawn from nature have played an important role in interior furnishings since the earliest examples known to us, and natural forms and structures have also been a recurring theme in the work of Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. L'Oiseau, an avian figure of archaic simplicity, is reminiscent of the unpretentious artefacts of Nordic folk art. Its sleek form attractively enriches contemporary interiors without the cuteness or even tackiness so commonly associated with animal figures.

Previously produced in wood or ceramic, L'Oiseau is now also available as a limited edition of 500 numbered pieces in Carrara marble. The heavy, veined white stone lends the decorative object a refined yet fresh character.
